The CIMB Asia Pacific Classic, Malaysia is the first tournament sanctioned by the PGA TOUR in Southeast Asia, and, will be held from 28 to 31 October 2010 at The MINES Resort & Golf Club.

The top 25 available players from the PGA TOUR’s final FedExCup standings will qualify for the CIMB Asia Pacific Classic, Malaysia. They will be joined by the Top 10 available players from the current Asian Tour Order of Merit and five players under sponsor exemptions to complete one of the strongest playing fields in Asia’s golf circuit.

As host country, at least one place will be reserved for a Malaysian professional. This ground-breaking tournament will also feature no halfway cut for the event.

The tournament boasts a rewarding prize purse of USD6 million with the winner taking home USD1 million while every other player receives varying amounts of nothing less than USD50,000 for the 40th placing golfer. The runner-up spot houses a cool USD575,000 with the 3rd placed tagged at USD450,000, 4th - USD356,000, 5th - USD300,000, 6th - USD275,000, 7th - USD250,000, 8th - USD225,000, 9th - USD200,000, and 10th placed at USD175,000.
